There is an easy way to cheat your game in PCSX2 without having to search the codes manually yourself. Basically we use Gameshark codes, RAW or Action Replay MAX (ARM) codes in PCSX2 which is easier and aplenty to search with your preferred search engine.
How?
You have to pay me $1000 for that! Kidding :)
Here we go…
How to use Gameshark or RAW codes in PCSX2 :
- Run PCSX2 and your game
- press ESC and click Misc –> Patch Browser and you’ll have this window
- Just click Add GS2v3-4 to add Gameshark codes to pcsx2 or click RAW to add RAW codes
- After all codes inputted, click exit
- to continue the game click Run –> Execute
- easy
How to use Action Replay MAX codes in PCSX2 :
With ARM codes things got little complicated, just a little. Don’t worry I’ll guide you.
PCSX2’s patch browser doesn’t include add ARM button, we have to find a way around. And all we need is Maxconvert, it’s a PlayStation 2 Code Conversion Program i.e. : Raw, Max Raw, AR Raw, Gameshark and CB code converter.
This program is simple to use, as simple as clicking the convert button. Below is a screenshot of Maxconvert when I was converting AR MAX codes for Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES’ infinite money.
In the left area, choose your input type that is AR MAX and put the codes. In the right area choose the output that is RAW. Then click Convert. That’s it.
If you download Maxconvert there’s a Help file to guide you through.
After you got the RAW code use the PCSX2’ patch browser to insert the code.

if the game couldn't resume, try to play it in windowed mode.
About master code, I think it differs from one game to another. From my experience persona 3 fes doesn't need master code turned on but maybe other games need it.

hi 619man,
unfortunately I don't have the game.
but i did insert your code onto some random games and the result is same as yours, it hangs pcsx2.
and the pcsx2 console shows this :
"No accelerated IMDCT transform found"
so i guess the code was somehow breaking pcsx2 emulation. you just found one of pcsx2 bugs.
and I can't help you with this kind of stuff, sorry. let's hope next version will do better.
btw, what's the code for?

I use pcsx2 0.9.5 X3 svn 396. You can find the download link in it.
some codes work and some doesn't. I think the ones that don't work are "the heavy codes" that manipulate the system too much. It works for real ps2 but not yet for a ps2 emulator. for example : one code to have all items maxed at once, delete the referee, etc.

yes there's another way.but i'm not sure that your codes will work.
it's done by make/editing *.pnach file in pcsx2 patches folder. i'll write about this in my next post. so stay tune :)

i play smackdown vs raw 2009 ( i have the two versions : pal , ntsc) when i put to the pcsx2 codes its crash and didnt work ( players id codes , joker commands codes ...............) can you help me with this?

If your game is hanging after entering the codes be sure that you followed the directions correctly. Start the game, press escape and enter the codes, then re-execute the game from the run menu.

I am playing Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. I input the codes and when I click excute, nothing happens. The game goes thorugh and everything, but the code does not work. Do I have to enable them? Cuz when I enable them the pcsx2 crashs. Plz help.

some codes work, some don't even crash pcsx2. there's nothing can be done, except waiting for pcsx2 to emulate ps2 better.

i have the pcsx2 v 0.9.6(i think newer version in this comment{up}). the game shark still don't work as the comments say. if use real game shark(not on pcsx2) does it work?

I play in window, use pcsx 0.9.6, ZeroGS 0.97.1 plugin. I try to use ARMax code (convert to raw), but i chose run cd and emulator cracked.

same happens here, the emulator crashes after I imput the codes (game shark , raw , codebreaker ) , and if i try to put it before running the game , then Run the game , then I crashes anways! ¬¬

I'm using pcsx2 0.9.6
When enabling the codes should I also check the "enable patches" under the MISC menu?
I did that and my PCSX2 hangs and I have to close the program.
When I just followed your instructions above it just runs the game normally and none of the codes I've used works.
The game is SD Gundam GG Wars and I'm using RAW codes for the game.

Actually it did happen to me like that, but after close it then restart it again it worked perfectly, well, although there's still crashing on mid-game though. But G Generation Wars indeed can. =)
Ok, I need help here. After inputted the RAW codes at patch browser, how exactly remove some of it anyway? Pressing delete on my keyboard won't do any good, anyone?

when i tried to put RAW codes for Persona 4, and enabled patches it crashed. I fixed this by editing every line by pressing edit patch and then under "place to Patch" i changed the 1 to 0. My problem is that after I exit PCSX2 or reset, all my codes are gone. Does anyone now how to fix that?
