I love Dragon Ball Z manga and anime. So having DBZ BT 3 running on my PC is a dream come true. As far as I know there is no Dragon Ball game for PC, right? Here’s PCSX2 best configuration (at least for now) for playing Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 (DBZ BT 3):
- PCSX2 0.9.4, the latter beta versions PCSX2 0.9.5 flicks on opening movie and no faster,
- Graphic Plugin : GSdx 0.1.4, the latter versions make the background flicker and gives you headache, trust me I’ve tried. See the picture for configuration.
- Sound Plugin, there are two choices:
- ZeroSPU 0.4.6 – robotic voices, but better timing. Use the default configuration.
- GigaHerz SPU2 (Public Beta) 1.9.0 – better voices with echo effect, click the picture below to see its configuration.
-
With this setting, DBZ BT 3 runs in full (or more) fps on movies and menus. On fighting part it runs 15-20 fps, hey that’s good enough, I think the original fps is 30fps (update: it’s 60 fps, thanks Vedant for pointing it out).
Note :
- Since no PC built equal, your FPS may vary.

HI!!! firstly i want to say that the original speed of the game is not 30 fps but it is 60fps.
Secondly, see my PC configuration:
windows XP sp2, 512mb ram, 128 mb graphic card of intel, 2.20Ghz.
sounds a little low to run ps2 games? Well it's not.
With the configuration settings you have provided, my game (in the actual battle) is running around 35-45 fps!
on the menus, the speed is more than 100 fps!!!
I JUST WANNA REALLY THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORT!
AND I APPRECIATE IT!

Thank you... very usefull information. Also for those who get error messages in Windows 7 (like i had) get the Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)here:
http://pcsx2.dyndns.org/vc10/vcredist_x86.exe
and update your DirectX (dxwebsetup) here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en
then do all the configuration shown in the picture. It WILL work fine in Win7.

Allright If you all need the bios, here's how to get it:
Download frostwire from frostwire.com(its free)
and in the search option, type :- PS2 bios. Hit enter. After sometime(or less, depending on your net speed), bios files will come up and you havta download "SCPH-70004_BIOS_V12-PAL_200"
If you are running a NTSC game, just download "SCPH-70004_BIOS_V12-NTSC_200". Thats it.
Plugins, you could try this site :http://forums.ngemu.com/ps2-plugin-questions-plugin-troubleshooting/97657-gsdx.html
or this : http://www.aep-emu.de/Emus-file-emus_detail-id-443.html?newlang=deu

Hi, well, I'm having problems with your configs, the game crashes on startup :'(
I get high fps in the menus... but in the fights.. uh... well about 5fps..
~SPECS~
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU @ 2GHz
32bit OS, Vista Home Prem
1GB ram
DIRECT X 10, Pixel shader 3 support..
Vid memory 512MB
Vid Card MOBILE INTEL(R) 965 Express Chipset Family.
I know they're not good enough cos i have vista -_- but Vedant is also running the stuff at low specs with avg. frames..
~I'll post my configs in another post for pcsx2~

Hi, My PCSX2 configs are as follows..
~LATEST PCSX2 0.9.6~(or w/e it is)
GSdx9 (MSVX 15, SSE2) 0.11.4 (to prevent flicker)
GRAPHICS CONFIG-
Res Windowed
Renderer Direct3D9 (others crash)
Shader Pixel Shader 2.0 (dunno but i do support 3.0 its in the options =D)
Interlacing None
Asp Ratio 4:3
D3D 640 512 NATIVE
Texture Filtering, NLOOP Hack (grey check) Enable TV out, Alpha corrention (others make it crash)
Sound Zero SPU2 r1455 0.4.6
I kept it on mute, i get very bad sound (I mean it's like.. K-K-K-Ka-Ka-R-R-o-t, =S laggy)
Lily pad 0.10, linuz ISO 0.8.0 others null drivers
and a Europe v02.00 Console (BIOS)
frame limiting is normal =S Speed hacks, only x2 cycle rate.
ADVANCED OPTS
Flush to zero opts are off (makes it crash)
Denormals are zero (on)
Clamp mode normal Round mode Chop/Zero (umm for both VU and EE)
I think that much is sufficient, lol could you help me please?

this game does not work in windows 7 x64...it loads up...and you can play it but only if you want to do pushups or eat a million meals and pull more swords out of a stone then king arthur
in fact WINDOWS 7 X64 SUCKS!!!!
it won't play gamecube
it won't play any game...hardly at all that is!!!
when i try to boot any ps2 game or gamecube it loads until loading screen and runs at 60fps and seems fine but does not go any further...
i have tried all troubleshooting but could not get any help...
all anyone ever told me was that i needed to convert from pal to ntsc and that i had a dark screen that was flickering...i did not!
i had vegeta doing 1000 pushups.. at 60fps ... i changed to directx 9c and got 125 fps of vegeta doing pushups
i troubleshot dif plugisn, and dif versions of pcsx2...the game does not want to boot past loading screen..
at first i thought it was cuz game was a dud game...cuz some files apparently missing in info log..
but then dmc 1, dmc 2, final fantasy x, and metroid prime and re remake 2 for gamecube do same thing..
what is wrong..
i have core i5 2.25 ghz ht duo
2 gb video card geforce gt 230m
4 gb ram ddr 3 533 mhz
win 7 home premium x64
can someone please help me..
i want to play pcsx2..and truth is this emulator ran fine on my desktop core duo 512mb video card..
what is the issue..
i have way better computer now..and it won't even load..
on my old pc from 5 years ago, it booted into games fine..but was really slow...
now no games will play and i got better pc..
mind you back then i was using xp...but it was in 64bit..
goshinkisfang@hotmail.com
please help..
and if you don't know ..don't bother...
cuz i don't want to hear about dark and flickering screens..
i want someone to help me with my isue..which is game will not play... games that are supposed to be 100% playable (cept re 2 remake but it should still go in game..)
thx
